Marco polo

I am a Director, Cinematographer, and Screenwriter currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Media Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Writing at The University of Tampa. As a member of the Honors Program, I have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.94 and have been recognized on the Dean’s List for the Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Spring 2025 semesters. My academic background is supplemented by diverse international studies, including Computer Gaming at MIT, Forensics at Green Mountain College, Humanitarian and International Law at McGill University, and Film and Theatre at Fordham University. I am also trilingual, with written and spoken proficiency in Spanish, English, and French.

Biography

My recent filmography demonstrates a high level of technical and creative versatility, ranging from directing and editing my Honors Thesis Project, My Ghana My People, to serving as Director, DP, and SFX artist for the virtual production Greed. I have contributed to various other projects, such as the experimental film Repent, which screened at the TBU Film Festival, and The Dead Don’t Lie, where I held roles as Assistant Director, SFX artist, and Script Supervisor. My technical skillset includes proficiency with the Blackmagic Pocket 4K and 6K cameras, as well as software expertise in Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Celtx, and AI tools like Midjourney and Firefly.

 

In addition to my film work, I have extensive experience in journalism, editing, and international collaboration. I served as an assistant copyeditor for the Tampa Review #70, managing style sheets and InDesign layouts, and wrote for The Moroccan 2023 Yearbook. My professional reach extends to documentary filmmaking, notably shooting a feature film about illegal gold mining in Ghana in collaboration with Ad-visors and providing footage to France Volontaires. I also gained industry experience as an intern with Akwaaba Magic (DSTV) during the production of Dirty Laundry.
